Long story short, I am making a ALDL OBD1 cable to connect my laptop to my 92 blazer. Compatible with GM OBDI data streams that use the 8192 Baud, Pin M protocol AND 160 Baud Pin E protocol. Although 1995 LT1 vehicles used an OBDI computer, they also used an OBDII ALDL connector.
Pin M indicates 8192 baud and pin E indicates 160 baud rate serial communication speed. This cable works on cars that have the serial data pin on pin M or pin E of the GM 12 pin OBD1 ALDL connector, which is most every 1982 to 1995 GM car. With the 12-pin cable the black wire from the USB cable goes to pin A while the green and white wires from the USB cable are connected together to pin M on the 12-pin connector.
